Sinclair Vehicles United Kingdom

Sinclair Vehicles was short lived company established by Sir Clive Sinclair, most widely known for his involvement in electronics - from pocket calculators in 1960s to home computers in 1980s ( Sinclair ZX80, Sinclair ZX81 and Sinclair Spectrum were first on British market mass produced home computers available for reasonable price). Sinclair Vehicles was one of his ventures that focused on building electric cars, but in fact they managed to produce only one (in cooperation with Hoover company, yes, the vacuum cleaners Hoover) Sinclair C5, a one-seat vehicle somewhere between the car and a scooter. The C5 received such poor reception that Sinclair dropped the idea of producing the C15 model, a 4-seat version. Soon after the premiere the production of C5 was ceased and the company Sinclair Vehicles was closed.
