BMW GermanyBayerische Flugzeugwerke AG was established in 1916 and their first products were airplane engines (BMW IIIa that were used in war planes during World War I). After the war the company was renamed to Bayerische Motoren Werke and moved widened their production range to include motorcycle engines, farm equipment and household items. The company produced its first motorcycle, the BMW R32 in 1923 and their first car in 1928.
Since 1930 they specialized in luxury cars and Grand Tour cars, the profile of the company has not changed much since - with time they became the synonym of fast cars for reasonable prices.
