Austin Motor Company United KingdomAustin Motor Company Limited was English manufacturer of cars. Founded in 1905 by Herbert Austin the comapny was manufacturing wide range of motor vehicles - from family cars to sports cars - but one of their most recognizable products were the London taxicabs (Austin FX3 and Austin FX4). In 1952 Austin started cooperation with talented engineer Donald-Healey, which led to creation of Austin-Healey marque concentrated on sports cars. In 1952 Austin Motor Company was merged into with Morris Motors Limited creating holding called The British Motor Corporation Limited, where Austin, like Morris, kept its separate identity. The marque Austin was used until 1987.
