Monaco Grand Prix (Formula One, Monaco)The Monaco Grand Prix (Grand Prix de Monaco) is Formula One race held each year on the street Circuit de Monaco. Run since 1929, it is widely considered to be one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world, (together with Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans). What makes this race so special is that it is held on narrow and winding streets of Monaco, so there are no run-off areas, no gravel traps, no margin for mistake - each time the driver makes mistake he has very little chance that it won’t end the race for him. Graham Hill was known as "Mr. Monaco" due to his five Monaco wins in the 1960s. The most succesful driver in Monaco was Brazilian Ayrton Senna, who won six times (five races consecutively between 1989 and 1993).
