Original title: Enzo Ferrari

Ferrari Enzo Ferrari 2003 car movie

Running time: 180 minutes

Language: Italian

Enzo Ferrari, creator of world famous car company, is visited by young man, who wants to make an interview with him. During their conversation Ferrari recalls his childhood when he first saw the car race and how he started the passion of his life. Later he tells the history of his life - when he started his career as racing driver, how he gained the emblem that later became logo of the his racing team and company, tried to work for Fiat, opened his first garage and built racing cars based on Alfa Romeo. We see how during the war he met the German driver that was his rival during the races, but now was army officer. After the war we see the raise of the company, his family life, his relations with son Dino and the strategic decisions he had to made.

Biography of legendary car builder told in way of interview, but contrary to what can be expected it isn’t just praise for Ferrari - we also see the dark side of his success (deaths of test drivers), his difficult relationships in family, his controversial work during the war and his style as manager. As biography it is well done, but since it is the biography of famous car builder his most famous construction played very little part in the story.
